Members of the Chair hold classes at the Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate University Study of Law and the Undergraduate Professional Study Programme in Administrative Studies.

Also, members of the Chair are engaged in scientific and highly qualified work by participating in national scientific and professional projects, organising scientific and professional consulting as well as presenting at international and national scientific and professional conferences and meetings. In addition to organising and preparing classes for the courses conducted by the Chair, its members are actively contributing to the development of science with the publications of their scientific and professional papers.

Certainly, it should be mentioned that members of the Chair are also active members of professional associations, and that they are continuously improving their competences through various forms of lifelong learning.

The members of the Chair have organized numerous events and conferences in the interdisciplinary field of law and language. Most notably, in collaboration with the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Croatia, the Chair has organised the first conference in Croatia on the topic of legal translation and the translation of EU legislation in 2000, and in light of the Croatian accession to the EU, in 2013 on legal issues in EU law. Owing to the international reputation of the long-term Head of the Chair, Prof. Dr. Susan Šarčević, the conferences gathered many renowned law and language scholars and resulted in prolific publications.

Prof. Dr. Susan Šarčević was the principal researcher on the following projects: Strategies for Translating the EU acquis (Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sport), Croatian Terms for EU Legal Concepts in cooperation with the Institute for Croatian Language and Linguistics (funded by the Croatian Science Foundation). Members of the Chair participated in the international Tempus project: Foreign languages in the field of law; Training action for legal practitioners: linguistic skills and translation in EU competition law (HT.4983/SI2.738977) funded by the European Commission, Dynamicity of Specialized Knowledge Categories(funded by the Croatian Science Foundation), UIP-2017-05-1769, Training services for the improvement of general and specific knowledge and skills of civil servants working in EU affairs (funded by ESF), Legal Aspects of the Digital Transformation of the Society (UNIRI).

Members of the Chair are editors and authors of scientific monographs, book chapters and papers in international journals.
