5th Edition of the UEFA Football Law Program launched

In the first week of October 2023, the first session of the prestigious 10 ECTS credits lifelong learning programme organised by UEFA was held at Kadir Has University (Istanbul - Turkey). This is an educational programme in the field of sports law in football, aimed at prominent legal experts with many years of experience from European and worldwide football federations and clubs, footballers' trade unions and renowned law firms dealing with the representation of players or clubs.

The Faculty of Law in Rijeka is partner of UEFA for the third time in running this programme, together with Ca' Foscari University Venezia (Italy) and Kadir Has Istanbul University (Turkey). The member of our staff, Associate Professor Vanja Smokvina, is a session director and member of the Scientific Committee of the UEFA Football Law Programme.

The Faculty of Law in Rijeka will host the 2nd session in February 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic, at the Czech Football Association.
